Jigsaw Theatre Trip to See Wicked – A Night of Magic!

Jigsaw Theatre Trip to See Wicked – A Night of Magic with Jigsaw Hemel Hempstead and Jigsaw St Albans!

What an amazing night! Our students from Jigsaw Hemel Hempstead and Jigsaw St Albans had the most incredible trip to London’s West End to see Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. From the moment we set off, the excitement was real—lots of chatting, singing, and guessing what the show would be like!

A Night of Dance, Drama & Singing

As soon as the curtain went up, we were hooked. The incredible singing, jaw-dropping dance numbers, and amazing acting had us all on the edge of our seats. Seeing a professional production like this was a huge inspiration for our students, who train in performing arts every week.

So Much to Learn!

Watching the cast bring the story to life with such energy and talent was a real eye-opener. The way they combined drama, singing, and dance to create such a powerful performance gave our students a whole new appreciation for what they do in class. It’s one thing to practice a routine or rehearse a scene—but seeing it all come together on a West End stage was next-level inspiring!

A Trip to Remember

There’s nothing like experiencing live theatre with friends who share your passion. It was so special to see our students soaking it all in, picking up tips from the pros, and getting even more excited about their own performing arts journeys.

&Juliet Theatre Trip To New Wimbledon Theatre!

&Juliet theatre trip was a hit! Jigsaw Mitcham & Morden teamed up with Jigsaw Sutton and Jigsaw Wimbledon for another great evening at the theatre to see &Juliet at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

Students from across the three local branches met up with our teachers Emma, Kalyn, Alice, Sophie and Mary for night at the musicals! The theatre trip was such a huge success and were all looking through the theatre’s programme trying to decide what we should see next! Watch this space!

The show was outstanding – brilliant vocals and very high production values! Being a jukebox musicals the students new a lot of the songs – many of which they had sung and danced to already at Jigsaw! The cast were brilliant and a great example of using the singing, drama and dance skills to tell stories and connect to an audience. By the end we were all our feet for the finale and the students were dancing and singing along!

The staff loved watching &Juliet too and lots of the songs have made it into our warm up music list so we can all enjoy them again!

Performing Arts Classes for children aged 3 -18!

Performing Arts Classes offer a fresh perspective on education and learning. An environment where creativity and imagination is encouraged, and children can express themselves, build meaningful connections and make friends.

Students in a Performing Arts Class find a place to belong by bonding with their peers, sharing exciting experiences, creating memories both in the classroom rehearsals and on stage. We are proud to provide an environment where children can step out of their comfort zone and try new things. This not only helps further their knowledge and skills in the Performing Arts, it creates confidence, perseverance and passion!

Jigsaw Performing Arts Classes can bring fitness and health benefits to children, especially in a dance class. Learning a new dance routine is such a fun way to keep fit, strengthen muscles and improve focus skills. Memorising each step of a dance routine requires 100% focus and attention! Dedication to learning new skills in drama, singing, and dance all help towards creating a well-rounded performer.

Jigsaw Performing Arts classes are educational in a fun and engaging way. In drama, singing and dance, students are encouraged to think outside the box and offer ideas in a group setting. Some transferable skills, to name a few, involve problem solving, empathy, understanding tone and emotions.

Friendships at Jigsaw Hendon: Community for Young Performers

Friendships at Jigsaw Arts go beyond just having fun in class—they are a key part of the experience that makes being a student at Jigsaw so special. For children aged 3-18, the performing arts school isn’t just about singing, dancing, or acting; it’s about forming lasting connections with peers who share the same passions and creative energy. In a world where teamwork is essential, the friendships made at Jigsaw Arts play a big role in helping students grow both as performers and individuals.
At Jigsaw Arts, every class is an opportunity to collaborate, whether it’s working together on a dance routine, rehearsing lines for a play, or supporting each other during a singing performance. Students learn how to work together, communicate effectively, and encourage one another, creating bonds that extend well beyond the classroom. Through teamwork, they develop a sense of belonging and confidence that benefits them in all areas of life.
What makes Jigsaw Arts unique is the welcoming environment where students of all ages can be a part of one big Jigsaw family . From the youngest performers to the more experienced teens, everyone is treated with respect and supported in their journey. This creates a space where children feel comfortable being themselves, making it easier to form friendships built on trust and mutual respect.
The friendships formed at Jigsaw Hendon aren’t just about shared interests in the performing arts; they’re about supporting each other, celebrating successes, and being there through challenges. Whether performing in a show, working on a group project, or simply chatting with friends at break time, these friendships become an integral part of the Jigsaw Arts experience. For many students, the friendships they make here are some of the most meaningful and long-lasting relationships of their childhood.
