Supporting our stars from Jigsaw Youth Theatre Barnet in 9 to 5!

This Friday, Megan and Yas from Jigsaw Barnet will be heading along to support two of our wonderful JYT members, Jessica and Evelyn, as they take to the stage in their school production of 9 to 5 and we couldn’t be more excited.

Jessica and Evelyn have been working so hard in rehearsals, and we know they are going to absolutely smash it. Performing in 9 to 5 is no small feat, it’s full of big musical numbers, strong characters and plenty of energy!

As JYT members at Jigsaw Barnet, they consistently show dedication, confidence and a real love for performing. It’s always so special to see our students take the skills they develop with us and bring them to life on stage in their school productions.

At Jigsaw, our support doesn’t stop at the studio door. Megan and Yas are so looking forward to being in the audience on Friday, cheering them on and celebrating all their hard work.

Moments like this are what our Jigsaw community is all about . Encouragement, pride and showing up for one another. There’s nothing we love more at Jigsaw than seeing our students shine. We are so proud of these girls for their dedication and commitment in everything they do.

Jessica and Evelyn, we will be there clapping loudly and proudly. Break a leg! We can’t wait to see you shine!

Stars of Tomorrow Bushey Stars!

We are so proud of our incredible Jigsaw students from Jigsaw Hendon, Jigsaw Watford and Jigsaw Bushey who performed at “Stars of Tomorrow” at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre this February 2026!

Stars of Tomorrow

Taking place over two consecutive evenings, this vibrant production celebrates the next generation of performers and will include solo singers, musical theatre and drama groups, street and hip hop dancers, ballet dancers, cheerleaders, gymnasts, Irish dancers, a ballroom and Latin section, and a variety of tap, modern and jazz from the best local dance and drama schools. With astounding young talent, dazzling lights, dramatic music, and stunning video effects, this is truly a night not to be missed!

Jigsaw Arts

We invited Group 2, Group 3 and Youth Theatre students from our Jigsaw schools to take part in this epic opportunity! Our school manager Kim and our dance teachers Bex and Freya chose an ensemble piece called “MORE” from ‘Ghost’ which is one of our favourite musicals! This piece went down a treat with our Jigsaw Hendon student Lola opening the number with a moving solo called ‘With you’ (Also from GHOST) and our students then launching into their dance routine with clipboards and an excited ‘New York’ themed backdrop! We had a wonderful experience rehearsing our number for the weeks leading up to the show and then on the show day we had just 15 minutes on stage to block our number and run it just once with our costumes and the fancy lights! It was great to give our students a feel for this professional environment and to also experience what it’s like to be back stage waiting to go on and perform! We got to watch the first half of the show and then in the second act it was time for Jigsaw to shine and they BLEW US AWAY!

Proud

Our manager Kim was ECSTATIC with their performance: “OH MY GOODNESS I am so unbelievably proud of our students who took part in the “Stars of Tomorrow” performance. I am in awe of their dedication, motiovation and energy. So proud – they were insane! You really shone like the brighest stars and should be so proud. Well done guys”

It was also lovely to hear from our Jigsaw parents too:
“We were all so very proud of how amazing they all were on stage and I just was so impressed! She came out so happy and bouncing with excitement!”

Same again next year! Want to be part of something like this? We have a sessions on Saturday afternoons at “St Mary’s and St John’s CE School” in Hendon. Whatsapp us on 020 3553 1082 to chat or drop us an email at hendon@jigsaw-arts.co.uk

Spring into Confidence with Jigsaw

Spring is a time when everything begins to grow again. The days feel brighter, the weather gets warmer, and flowers begin to bloom. There’s colour everywhere, and the world feels full of fresh energy and new beginnings.

At Jigsaw, we see that same kind of growth in our children!

All sorts of children with different personalities come to Jigsaw. Some are loud and confident, others are quiet and shy. But over time, you start to notice a change. They stand a little taller. They speak a little louder. They smile a little more. Just like flowers in spring, they slowly begin to blossom.

Through singing, dancing and drama, they learn more than just routines and lines. They learn to believe in themselves. They learn how to support one another as a team. They learn that it’s okay not to be perfect. Every class is filled with movement, music and imagination. Every teacher and student brings laughter, light and creativity each week!

Jigsaw Student Stars in the UK Tour of Miss Saigon

Miss Saigon is a show packed with powerful songs and energetic dance routines! The story is set during the Vietnam War and follows a young girl called Kim and an American soldier named Chris and their love story! The show started its big UK tour in October 2025, opening at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle. Since then, it has been to lots of different theatres across the UK, including the Playhouse Theatre in Edinburgh, the Palace Theatre in Manchester, The Alexandra in Birmingham, the Grand Theatre in Leeds and the New Theatre in Oxford over Christmas and New Year. This has given audiences all over the country a chance to see this amazing show live on stage!

This is such a huge achievement for Robyn, especially at such a young age! Being part of a large touring production takes confidence, focus and lots of hard work and we couldn’t be prouder of her. Her journey shows what can happen when young performers are given the chance to build their skills, believe in themselves and follow their dreams!Well done, Robyn — we can’t wait to see what you do next!

Supporting our Star from Jigsaw High Barnet!

From the moment she stepped on stage, Habibah performed with confidence, focus and joy. Watching her apply everything she’s developed in her Jigsaw classes, character work, stage presence, vocal projection and performance discipline, was incredibly inspiring.

At Jigsaw High Barnet, we are passionate about nurturing confident, resilient young performers, and Habibah was a shining example of that ethos in action. Taking part in a full-scale musical production is no small achievement. It takes bravery to audition, commitment to rehearse and determination to perform, and she demonstrated all of it.

What made the evening even more special was that all of our High Barnet staff were there to support her. We wouldn’t have missed it for the world! There is something so powerful about showing up for our students beyond the classroom, and the smiles from families in the audience when they spotted us in the crowd were just lovely. It truly felt like a community moment.

Families often see the weekly classes, the rehearsals, the growth over time, but nights like this show the magic that happens when that hard work meets a big stage and bright lights.

We are so proud of Habibah for representing Jigsaw High Barnet with such professionalism and heart.

Here’s to many more auditions, many more bows, and many more moments where we get to sit in the audience and beam with pride.

Supporting our stars from Jigsaw Potters Bar!

We were beyond proud to see Bella, Hattie, Alex and Henry lighting up the stage in this brilliantly kooky, high-energy musical. From the moment the curtain opened, they performed with confidence, commitment and true stage presence, everything we nurture each week in class at Jigsaw.

At Jigsaw, we talk a lot about building resilience, bravery and performance discipline, and this production was such a powerful example of that in action. Auditioning takes courage. Rehearsing takes dedication. Performing takes belief. And our students demonstrated all three in abundance.

A very special shout out has to go to Group 3 student, Henry, who played Uncle Fester. What a performance! From perfectly timed comedic pauses to those wonderfully quirky character choices, he had the audience in stitches. His physical comedy, vocal characterisation and connection with the audience were spot on, he truly embraced the eccentric charm of Fester and made the role completely his own. We could hear the laughter ripple through the auditorium time and time again!

Bella, Hattie and Alex were equally fantastic, committed, expressive and completely immersed in the world of the show. Watching them perform outside of their weekly classes, in a full-scale theatre production, was such a proud teacher moment.

Some of our Jigsaw Potters Bar team were there cheering them on (quietly, of course… theatre etiquette and all that!), and we were absolutely blown away. Seeing our students thrive in a professional-style theatre environment reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

Whether it’s a lead role, a featured moment, or standing confidently as part of an ensemble, every achievement matters. Every step onto a stage builds something powerful.

We are so incredibly proud of Bella, Hattie, Alex and Henry for representing Jigsaw Potters Bar so beautifully.

Here’s to more auditions, more stage lights, more applause… and many more proud teacher moments to come.
