Last week over 40 students from Jigsaw Wimbledon, Sutton, Mitcham & Morden all got together for a night out full of song, dance and Christmas cheer!
New Wimbledon’s annual pantomime is always a crowd-pleaser, and this year was no exception. The hip-hop dance troupe Diversity were by far the show-stealers with their epic and perfectly timed choreography. Magician and comedian Peter Firman came a close second as Will (the Buttons-like character), cracking many one-liners and never failing to make the audience laugh out loud.
With the obligatory interval ice-cream included, our students all had a fabulous time soaking up the festive fun in the run-up to Christmas. Importantly, it was also great to see all the skills we regularly work on in class on stage. From the specifics of group singing and high kicks all the way to the overall confidence of the whole cast on stage, it was inspiring to witness performers work their magic in front of us. (You see a few more photos of the students having a great night our over on our instagram!)
We had a brilliant time watching such a fun and energetic show and are already looking forward to next year’s outing! In the meantime We will defintily need to make this an annual Jigsaw tradition and head back to for more panto fun next year!
We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
