Hi! I’m Bree, and I spend my Sunday mornings at Jigsaw Harpenden teaching performing arts to the 3–6-year-olds! Helping them grow in confidence and develop skills!
What are you most looking forward to about show term?
The thing I’m most excited about for show term is just to continue to see these children grow in confidence as much as they have already! It’s going to be so special watching them go from learning their lines and dances to then standing on stage in front of an audience! It’s going to be such a celebration and I’m so excited!
What other skills has performing arts given you?
Definitely confidence, in terms of speaking and presenting and just being myself. It’s taught me resilience, patience, and also to work as part of a team. Being able to lead is great, but being a part of that team is so so important. I think it’s a massive skill that all of us can really benefit from and help you in everyday life!
What is your favourite musical and dream role?
It has to be Wicked! I love the music, the moral of the story, the dancing, the characters, everything! It’s just so magical. I think it’s beautiful and my dream role is definitely Glinda! It’s been a dream world of mine since I was a little girl!
What’s your favourite thing about teaching at Jigsaw?
How imaginative my students are, they’re just so fearless! I just think it’s so gorgeous to see how their energy and enthusiasm is so infectious. It’s just amazing, and it’s such a joy to see and witness, they’re the reason I love teaching. The classes are beautiful! Come and sign up for a two-week trial today!
