Since October, our brilliant Jigsaw Youth Theatre Barnet cast have been hard at work rehearsing Ride or Die as part of the National Theatre Connections programme and we can hardly believe performance time is almost here!
Rehearsals have been packed with energy, big character choices, thoughtful discussions and plenty of laughter along the way. Being part of National Theatre Connections is such an exciting opportunity for our young performers. They get to work on a brand-new play that’s being staged by youth theatres across the country, all while developing their confidence, teamwork and performance skills.
Their home performance on Saturday 14th March is a big moment in their journey. We’re especially excited because their mentor from the National Theatre will be coming along to watch and give feedback. It’s a fantastic chance for the cast to gain professional insight and polish the show even further.
After that, the adventure continues as they head to perform at The Swan Theatre in High Wycombe for their partner theatre performance. Performing in a professional venue is always such a special experience, and we know they’re going to make us proud.
We’re so proud of the commitment and enthusiasm this group has shown since rehearsals began back in October. It’s been wonderful watching the show grow week by week, and we can’t wait to see it come alive on stage.
Break a leg, Jigsaw Barnet… we’re cheering you on all the way!
