We were beyond proud to see Bella, Hattie, Alex and Henry lighting up the stage in this brilliantly kooky, high-energy musical. From the moment the curtain opened, they performed with confidence, commitment and true stage presence, everything we nurture each week in class at Jigsaw.
At Jigsaw, we talk a lot about building resilience, bravery and performance discipline, and this production was such a powerful example of that in action. Auditioning takes courage. Rehearsing takes dedication. Performing takes belief. And our students demonstrated all three in abundance.
A very special shout out has to go to Group 3 student, Henry, who played Uncle Fester. What a performance! From perfectly timed comedic pauses to those wonderfully quirky character choices, he had the audience in stitches. His physical comedy, vocal characterisation and connection with the audience were spot on, he truly embraced the eccentric charm of Fester and made the role completely his own. We could hear the laughter ripple through the auditorium time and time again!
Bella, Hattie and Alex were equally fantastic, committed, expressive and completely immersed in the world of the show. Watching them perform outside of their weekly classes, in a full-scale theatre production, was such a proud teacher moment.
Some of our Jigsaw Potters Bar team were there cheering them on (quietly, of course… theatre etiquette and all that!), and we were absolutely blown away. Seeing our students thrive in a professional-style theatre environment reminds us exactly why we do what we do.
Whether it’s a lead role, a featured moment, or standing confidently as part of an ensemble, every achievement matters. Every step onto a stage builds something powerful.
We are so incredibly proud of Bella, Hattie, Alex and Henry for representing Jigsaw Potters Bar so beautifully.
Here’s to more auditions, more stage lights, more applause… and many more proud teacher moments to come.
